How the Shortcut System Works

1. Trigger Activation

Type the # symbol in any message input field to activate the shortcut system. The dropdown appears instantly with all available responses.

2. Smart Search

Continue typing to filter responses in real-time. Search matches title, content, and shortcut names with intelligent pattern recognition.

3. Instant Insertion

Select your response with click or keyboard navigation. The shortcut is replaced with the full response content, ready to send.

Technical Note: The system uses a debounced search for optimal performance. Results update as you type with highlighted matching text for easy identification.

Activate Shortcut Mode

In any active conversation, click in the message input field and type #. The shortcut dropdown will appear immediately, showing all responses you have access to.

Select Response

Select your desired response using mouse click or keyboard navigation. The shortcut text will be replaced with the full response content.

  • Shortcut is completely replaced with response content
  • Cursor is positioned at the end of inserted text
  • You can continue typing additional message content
  • Undo (Ctrl+Z) will restore the original shortcut if needed
